Murderbubble: The lineage of the strain that helps my pain

I’ve been growing Murderbubble since a little after October 2017 when I acquired some of these beans at a growers meet-up a little south of Seattle. It was there I met DubChase, among other friends and acquaintances in the Pacific Northwest cannabis growing scene. The story of that trip is worthy of it’s own post. But for now I will stick to the Murderbubble details.

Murderbubble was developed by DubChase and Bioalchemical Retort. It consists of a carefully selected female from BOG SeedsSour Bubble crossed to a choice male Killer Malawi from the ACE Seeds Malawi Breeders Pack.

From my understanding, the original goal was to find a fast finishing Malawi for a commercial project that ended up becoming Sour Malawi. Thankfully the fruits of that labor got in to my hands. Funny enough, when you read the awesome strain review from Jonathan Olsen-Koziol it pretty much describes my pheno of Murderbubble that has been kicking since late 2017.

DubChase has since cubed Murderbubble leaning towards the Sour Bubble phenos, while I am slowly following the same path working my own F2s trying to find a keeper and breeding pair to go on to an F3. I have given out over 500 Murderbubble F2 seeds and enjoy seeing the results. From the phenos popped so far, I am impressed with the diversity within the genome.

The chances of someone growing the original F1 seeds are very low. Even at that growers party when packs were being given out, I was the only one there who grew them. I can count on two hands who has been growing these beans that I know of. If you or someone you know grows or works the original seeds, please drop me a line on Instagram.
